THROUGH MY LENS: Húsavík – A gem in north Iceland

Húsavík – a pure taste of north Iceland

Also called the whale watching capital of Iceland, Húsavík lies almost on the border to the arctic. Here is a collection of photos from the pure north.

For a year I lived in this picturesque, decent sized, homy, lively, cold in the winters, warm in the summers, beautiful and friendly town. It’s a place close to my heart and a place I miss.

Imagine a place where the summer gets warm enough to walk about in a t-shirt, the winters cold enough snow to go skiing, the people in town so friendly that you feel welcome from the day you arrive and on top of that the bay is full of whales!

Húsavík as I lived it.

Here are a few pictures I took during my time there.
